Title: wrong green IP # Post by: zutroi67 on Tuesday 16 December 2008, 03:13:51 am Hi. Embarrassingly, I have stupidly entered a gibberish number for the green IP # on install. I have inspected BR0, and sure enough, there's the stupid IP #. I cannot login to the web interface because of this problem. How do I reset the green IP # from the EFW console itself? As you can see, I am only learning at this stage. Thanks for your help!

so, "ifconfig br0 192.168.0.1" worked beautifully. thanks to anyone who was going to help anyway! :P Title: Re: wrong green IP # Post by: zutroi67 on Tuesday 16 December 2008, 10:50:31 am answering my own question: I need to "man ifconfig" from my other machine, as EFW doesn't have a man page for ifconfig. so, "ifconfig br0 192.168.0.1" worked beautifully. thanks to anyone who was going to help anyway! :P nope, didn't actually work. ifconfig address 192.168.0.15 does change the interface address to that IP just for this boot. it otherwise boots up with the wrong/stupid IP assignation. not even setting factory default from the console menu fixes it. i ended up just reinstalling. but there's gotta be a better, easier way? damn you Linux!!! foiled again!
