I am installing 2.4 for the first time and for some reason when I attempt to install 2.4 the install stops at "installing packages" .  I tried it with a CD and a DVD and no luck on the PC.   

I went to use my computer and ran it under Virtual Box (VMware)  and it did the same thing, by stopping at "installing packages. 

Any help would be appreciated.

i have the same problems but with the version 2.4.1, the installation is blocked at "install packages"

I actually was able to get that installed.  I had to wait about 20min at the install packages screen and then it finally completed the install.

Endian needs to fix this bug as soon as possible  Huh

Installing 2.3 and then upgrading is how I built my Endian box.  Upgrades can be initiated with endian-upgrade from SSH console.  You'll need a registered email address as part of the upgrade.
