Creating an EFW Dev Box

I'm interested in building a few extras for my EFW systems. Now that Endian has posted the SRPMs to 2.5.1, any one have any suggestions on creating an EFW development system?
In the past (e.g., EFW 2.4) Endian also posted development RPMs that made it easy to install EFW on a spare box or as a virtual machine and turn it into a development machine by adding the development RPMs (e.g., binutils, gcc, etc.).
Endian hasn't posted any dev RPMs for 2.5.1, so what's the easiest way to proceed?
