Joe - you must have a vlan capable switch to properly route the traffic. The green interface will tag all traffic as VLAN30, however it must also feed into a tagged VLAN30 port on a switch. All other ports on the switch will need to be untagged (unless of course, you have yet another VLAN-capable switch that feeds of the main switch, then the port will be tagged).

If you have a "dumb" non managed switch that is not VLAN-observant, forget about using VLAN...

Hi.
Thank you for you suggestion. I'm very new for endain. It's will be great if you not mind to answer my question below.
1.You mean I must plug-in Endian to switch before I try to set the Vlan in endian?
2.You mean I set Vlan correctly way but I must have No.1 before set Vlan ?
3.After I set Vlan as the same way. after that how I access to Web config
4.Could you suggest me How to set Vlan if we have 3 Vlan (192.168.10.**)(192.168.20.**)(192.168.30.**)

Actually I attempted  to set endian before replace the old firewall (Zeroshell). I used Linksys SRW2016 for make a Vlan. This model can set Vlan I'm right?

By the way
Thank you so much and sorry for my eng skill

Hi Joe -

Here's how my network is setup:

I have a Netgear GS108T managed switch and a Netgear GS105E "smart" switch; I also have a Netgear WNR3500L router converted into being a simple AP with a 5 port gigabit switch.

The first thing I've done was create VLAN4 on the Endian box - (Network -> Interfaces -> VLAN -> New VLAN -> VLAN ID = 4); I kept the Endian box's green interface connected to the same port on the GS108T router which is my main router.

Next, I went to the router management console and set the port used to connect Endian to the Router to "VLAN4 TAGGED"; I did the same for the port used to connect the GS105E switch. The PVID setting was also changed to 4 since I am completely blowing VLAN1 out of the picture.

All the ports on the GS108T and GS105E switches that feed computers AND the simple AP must be untagged for the appropriate VLAN.

If you create more than one VLAN, then you must ensure that the switch uplinks have proper port-tagging, and that computer uplinks have the VLANs you want the computers to access untagged - remember you can set one VLAN as untagged.

Lastly, you must make sure that the management VLAN on the switch is set to the appropriate VLAN as well.

Once you complete all these steps, you will be able to access the web config without a problem.

Now in regards to number 4 - that really depends on what you want to achieve. Do you want each machine on each VLAN to be able to communicate with a machine on another VLAN?

If you want the VLANs to communicate, you'd have to of course set Endian with all VLAN interfaces, and you'd need to set each switch uplink (if you have multiple swithces) to have all VLANs tagged.

Each individual untagged port needs to have appropriate PVID configurations too. For example: on my GS108T switch, the uplink is tagged for VLAN4 and VLAN5, the port that feeds the GS105E is also tagged for VLAN4 and VLAN5. All other used ports are untagged for the appropriate VLAN and the VLAN PVID determines the "main" VLAN an untagged port is a part of.
