Hello,

first: sorry for my bad english.  Roll Eyes

Second: My old ITX Mainboard (EPIA-PD) chrashed so i am searching a new Mainboard. But here start the probs with the requirements.
The Mainboard..

... must have 2 NICs, because my ITX Case didn't has space for any Cards.
... should be passive cooled, because the Case only has one (40mm) small fan. Also i didn't need so much power @CPU - passiv 1Ghz will be fine.
... the NICs must be supported by efw. I didn't have much experience with Linux, Driver compiling or such things.

I found allready some Boards with 2 NICs and passive cooled CPUs, but mostly they have RTL8111 or Intel 82574 NIC chips onboard and efw (2.2 & 2.3) did have many problem with those NIC chips.
So my rather question is how good the efw 2.4 supports those NIC now? Or is there any ITX Mainboard with passive cooling & 2 supported NICs out there?  Huh

thx 4 help so far

Try looking at the Jetway J7F2 using C7 processor with optional daughter boards (realtek or Intel)
There is a 1.2GHz fanless version.

I have just installed on a J7F2 1.5GHz 1Gb ram with triple realtek Gb lan giving 4 ethernet ports.

Note: see posting re ethernet port numbering issues when restoring a backup:

Thx for the tip, looks like a good option.

But today i found this new VIA board (EPIA-M840-12E) -> h**p://via.com.tw/en/products/embedded/ProductDetail.jsp?productLine=1&id=1230

- 1.2GHz VIA Nano™-E (fanless)
- 2x Gbit LAN onboard (VT6130)
- 2x DDR2 533/667 DIMM sockets (up to 4GB)
- 2x SATA, 1x UltraDMA

Any news on this board if there are any compatibility probs? Smiley

mini-tft.de
--> h**p://mini-tft.de/xtc-neu/product_info.php?info=p42899_VIA-EPIA-M840-12E--Mainboard--Mini-ITX--inkl--1-2.html

230 Euro

"nicht grade billig" (wtf, censorship in forum Oo) and only one supplier - so i will wait maybe until end of month or a 100% compatibilty test.  Grin
