Hi all,

since weeks I try the add an USB Ethernet adapter to my EFW 3.2.2. I tried all of them and I mean all you can get via Amazon. None of them worked. Finally I deep dived a bit an neither found any relevant driver on EFW 3.2.2 preinstalled (Realtek or Six) nor any usbnet kind of thing. In addition when I was looking for any other support in a lot of forums I didnīt find anything helpful. To me it seems that EFW 3.2.2 doesn't support it and it is even not wanted to make it support. Am I right?

Do you found a solution for adding nic via USB to EFW 3.2.2. If yes I would even pay money for to get to know this!

Please help me.

I am wondering the same thing.  We have a USB LTE modem that seems to work on 3.0.9 but does not seem to be recognized properly on 3.2.2.

I don't see any of the usb drivers that were in 3.0. So I think the question should be, are there plans to include USB drivers (specifically for me usb ethernet drivers that were previously supported)?
Thanks for the info.

USB Ethernet and LTE are two completely different pieces of hardware. LTE stuff depends on USB modeswitch to flip it from CDROM mode (for windows installs) to Modem mode but that's another topic. Thos drivers plus modeswitch ARE installed here.

Looking in the kernel modules, I see no usb ethernet modules at all. Of course usb ethernet is a last resort and at least in the past USB means UnSuitable for Broadband. I'm sure the USB3 devices on a usb3 port might not be so bad. I've seen so many firewall problems all stemming from them in the past. I'm sure it was no accident they were omitted from the kernel in EFW.

For the moment we didn't want to introduce the module in 5.0 we are thinking about reviewing the modules for the next version, here is the issue you can discuss there: h**ps://jira.endian.com/browse/CORE-1744
