Comcast and Uplink - FAILURE

Hello everyone,
I have setup up a EFW in my home, but am unable to get my "main uplink" to connect. Every time I click on System -> Dashboard and look at the Uplinks section, the status sits at connecting, then changes to failed. I am using comcast as an ISP here is my hardware setup:
Linksys cable modem -> cisco switch -> EFW -> another switch for home network
Under network configurations:
page 1/8 - chose Ethernet DHCP (Number of interfaces is 2)
page 2/8 - chose network zones -> NONE for blue and orange
page 3/8 - chose correct green NIC (ip address 192.168.110.1 - mask /24 - 255.255.255.0
page 4/8 - chose correct red NIC (left MTU and Spoof Mac blank) - DNS was manual
page 5/8 - looked up comcast DNS primary/sec servers and enter ip
page 6/8 - admin mail (left blank)
page 7/8 apply
I have had a few , who have EFW configured at home, take a look at this and they have said that all other settings looks correct.
One of my is using comcast and he said he had to spoof his mac address on page 4/8 of the network setup wizard. He suggested that I take my laptop and plug it directly into the cable mode, wait for the ip to be assigned and make sure I can browse the internet. Then do an ipconfig /all and look at the mac address of the laptop and us that on page 4/8 of the network wizard. Here was his suggestion for hardware:
Linksys cable modem -> EFW -> another switch for home network
I tried this and was not successful.
The end result is the EFW is up and running, DHCP is working, but I am unable to get out and browse any sites.
Any ideas?

Turns out this was a linksys cable modem issue. Here are the steps I took to resolve this issue:
unplug cable modem for 30 sec and plug back in
plug my cable modem directly into my laptop
open cmd propt and type ipconfig /all
get the ethernet lan mac address
unplug my laptop and plug into EFW
go into network wizard and on page 4 add spoof the mac address with the one from my laptop
worked like a charm
