I'm using Endian Firewall 2.4.1 Community Edition, Kernel 2.6.32.25-57.e40.i586.
I've plugged a ZTE modem for the Brazilian Vivo ISP. The modem is detected as show in logs:

I've setup the backup uplink as:
- Type: Analog/UMTS modem
- Serial/USB Port: Serial Port 1
- Modem Type: UMTS/HSDPA modem
- Baud-rate: 460800
- Access Point Name: zap.vivo.com.br
- Username: vivo
- Password: vivo
I've tried PAP, CHAP and "PAP or CHAP".
When enabling the uplink, it returns the error below:

I know that I'm only able to connect to this provider enabling wvdial "Stupid Mode", that means:
Stupid Mode
When wvdial is in Stupid Mode, it does not attempt to interpret any prompts from the terminal server. It starts pppd immediately after the modem connects. Apparently there are ISP's that actually give you a login prompt, but work only if you start PPP, rather than logging in. Go figure. Stupid Mode is (naturally) disabled by default.
The wvdial configuration that works on my linux host is:

Obviously EFW does not use wvdial so I'm looking for options to configure this with available tools. Any ideas?
