Hi.

How do I configure VPN in endian? I can't seem to get it to work.  I have enabled the openvpn server, assigned dynamic ip range.  When I try to connect my mac or windows client, i get a no response error.  Is the vpn pptp by default?  pls help.

thanks

Is there a router ahead of the efw?  Are you port forwarding port 1194/UDP somewhere?

What windows client are you using? I use Openvpn gui, so I have working .ovpn files.

i'm using the default app to connect vpn, the microsoft vpn app.  the endian firewall is also acting as the router, as our network drop from datacenter goes directly to the firewall, no in between router.

Do I need to use openvpn gui as well? With endian what protocol is used by vpn server, is it pptp or a different protocol specific to openvpn?  Sorry but I'm new to openvpn.

Also, in my firewall port forwarding rules, what rule do I need to set?

You should notic to define the range of addresses. This range of address not conflict with DHCP range.
You should notic to time server and client.

I didn't quite get what you mean.  Do I need a special vpn client for this, or can the built in Windows VPN or Cisco VPN Client work?

you can probably use an IPSEC client if you want to go that far ( I have never considered spending that much time on it) but the simplest implementation of VPN to Endian is to use the openvpn client and configure the openvpn server on endian,  it requires little effort just download the client software and use this info to configure.
