VPN ipsec net to net interworking with Netgear FVS318GE V3

I have a CCTV video storage server protected by Endian 2.4.1 running on a dual xeon machine
which connects over Internet i.e. Ipsc VPN to an IP camera protected by
Netgear FVS318GE V3 Prosafe.
Its running nicely but when I was going to duplicate the connection to an another location i.e.
adding next FVS318GE Prosafe router and IP camera I noticed that I did not get same stability
and easy to get up link until I actually downgraded my new Netgear router from SW version
28 to SW version 26.
Now the both routers works nicely but I am little bit worried if the future release does not work
with Endian.
I have also tested the new Gigabit version of Netgear FVS318g against Endian
but so far I did not get it to interwork as nicely as FVS318GE version 3.
I have looked in the OpenSwan interoperability list and besides Netgear I can see that
there are some Zyxel routers supported. What is your experience on this?
The bandwidth I use currently is just of Mbps future needs could go up to 10 Mbps.
The way I have configured the working link on both ends is:
IKE 3DES MD5 DH2 8hours PSK=pre shared key
ESP 3DES SHA-1 DH2 8hours PFS=YES
