I got Endian 2.5.1 running on a DELL PowerEdge R210 2 server with an Intel Xeon E3-1270, 8GB DDR3 RAM and two 500GB HDD in RAID1. This server is used in an environment where about 300 users [client devices] work on the internet. Does anyone of you got an idea, what the best sizes for the proxy cache size on HDD and RAM are? Thanks in advance for your help!

I've experienced an interesting problem when trying different proxy cache settings: When I use a small to medium cache-space [HDD: 1000MB, RAM: 500MB, Minimum Size: 0MB, Maximum Size: 1024KB] everything gets extremly slow after about 5 days. Now I'm trying to oversize the space a little bit [HDD: 10000MB, RAM: 1000MB, Minimum Size: 0MB, Maximum Size: 1024KB].

Has anyone of you got an idea, which are good settings for a network with about 300 users.

Is it possible to deactivate proxy caching in general? I've tried to set the maximum size value from 1024KB to 0KB.
