The webpage at http://www.endian.com/fileadmin/documentation/efw-admin-guide/en/efw.system.backup.html says:

Quote
The button Factory defaults allows you to reset the configuration of your Endian Firewall to factory defaults. In fact a backup which has been created on first boot will be restored if you do this.

So, can we run this backup process after changing one or two things to create our own set of Factory Defaults?

Basically, there is one or two options we always want to set before creating a new "factory default" and giving the box to the users. Then if the users select to reset to factory defaults, they get our base install.

Thanks,
James

Do you guys have something that means every time I type d o c u m e n t a t i o n I get documentation? Yes you do. People will have to correct that link by hand themselves.

For future reference, this appears to do the trick on Endian Firewall Community release 2.2.rc3

rm /var/efw/factory/factory.tar.gz
/usr/local/bin/backup-create.sh --factory
