what's the number of hosts of network that can efw version free example 2.4.1  used for them as a firewall ?
can we use the free version for 1000 hosts of network or less than this number

There is no fixed limit of hosts. Maybe depend on firewall hardware + users behaviour (=numbers of connections per user).
I have had about 250 users going out thru an Endian Firewall.

Yep, no limit. Your only limit is your hardware. A thousand hosts is bit stiff though... time for professional help.

I manage 11 devices and we have 4000+ users, no problems

Each server has an i5 and 4 GB of ram, 1 TB hdd.

Sorry for the late reply Smiley

I'm the network administrator for a Romanian university and decided to choose endian for our CAMPUS.

After I finish the deployment over the whole campus I think we are going to have easily 10.000+ users spread over the servers. We have 20.000 students for now.

For now we are using the servers only for dhcp + some filtering but I'm planning to do a nice setup to keep under control the masses Smiley

Is there any limit in the bandwith of uplink interface in community edition?

Good question. I don't know about that but we use 1Gbps NICs and don't have any issues.
