I'm using endian firewall 2.4.1, I've managed to get openvpn working ok.
But I'm using it in an office, so when the traffic goes high there are quite a few timeouts and drops on openvpn connections.
From what I can see in this kind of environment I should be using tcp rather than udp, however if I set the connection to tcp on the server when I click save it reverts to udp.

I also tried manually editing the config and bouncing openvpn, but this just broke the firewall (I changed a client to tcp and it couldn't connect)

Is tcp for openvpn supported on endian 2.4.1, if it is are there some settings that must be applied for it to be usable.
e.g. I have bridge mode on etc. does this have to be on.

Or is this a bug that I should report?

Thanks,

Malcolm

HI malcolm

i think that is a bug, because there' s a "tcp" voice but it don't setup.. i had the same problem in the 2.4.1..
if you're forced to use TCP protocol,  you must to downgrade to old release 2.4. that works very fine
bye

I've the same problem
I can't revert because I've sent the firewall to 1000 miles from here, and I don't want to send another one....
I have to say that I've found many bugs in 2.4.1 version Sad

you must also change
/var/EFW/openvpn/settings and  /var/EFW/openvpn/default/settings and  /etc/openvpn/ openvpn.conf.tmpl  for server

 /var/efw/openvpnclients/default/settings and /etc/openvpn/openvpnclient.conf.tmpl for client

Endian 2.4.1
