update from 2.4 to 2.5.1 error

My server dell poweredge r710 install endian 2.4 and update to 2.5.1 all success but reboot hang with error
"failed to resume link scontrol 0"
How to patch this problem?

I'm also interested how to fix this

I have Dell PowerEdge R300
cannot install 2.5.x (both as update and from scratch) because for some reason Endian removed support for some dell raid contollers since 2.5
at the moment only 2.4 works (then you can update to 2.4.1 max)
