I understand that you don't really need 64 bit for a firewall but any hardware that is being built as a server kind of system is 64 bit and 32 bit operation is the kind of thing that will be emulated.

paravirtualization  support would be REALLY nice.
Given the amount of cloud infrastructure out there today and given that all the various paravirtual devices are so well supported by the linux kernel there is no reason I can see to not include PV support.
