I'm now leaning towards the problem being configuration of the guest (kvm/qemu) rather than endian. I've reinstalled using more basic settings and disabled acpi etc. in the guest, at the moment it seems fine. It seems to lock running the aliases command and a not even a kill -9 will not kill the process. So for the moment I've regressed to 2.3, lets hope 2.4.1 isn't too far away :-D Hoping this is related to the "segfault in fetchipac bug" |
