Title: Endian Firewall community 4.2 default settings
Post by: HugoC on Tuesday 08 March 2011, 09:50:48 am
Sorry about this dumb question but I'm quite new to the world of Firewalls

I have setup my first Endian Firewall community 4.2 , I have tested it with only one pc out of my LAN and works fine.

Is secure plug Endian Firewall 4.2 to my LAN with its default configuration or there is some parameters I need to change or review before that?

Regards

Hi HugoC,

as far as I know, it is quite secure with the default configuration.

Of course, the funny part is to configure it, so I suggest to you to configure it as you need, create a backup, save it and start to play! :)

Another good choice is to create a virtual test environment (I use virtualbox for it and it is amazing) and to play there, so that you can earn experience without putting your LAN in a critical situation due to a misconfiguration.

Happy hacking!
