use more RAM

My Hardware box offers 2048 MB of RAM
Endian 2.4 takes about 17%.
is there a way to use more ram?
i mean where all the scan processes, snort rules, av stuff are running on? HDD?
how does this scanning works with 17% of RAM usage. is it so smooth?
But CPU is high an wa states?
Would be brilliant if all the scann rules and av pattern which are needed to scan are laoded into the memory.

The usage you see are the live usages, means it show the current memory bind. Try this, select more category in the content filter. Enable Traffic monitoring if not enabled,
