HI THERE,

    Only one question:
Is it safe to upgrade efw-2.4  from the console? cause the first time I got the famous kernel error.
            Best regards

Hello,

I have successfully upgraded three EFW firewalls from console, all upgraded perfectly (some in remote locations too via VPN). Two EFW were Endian 2.3.0 and one was 2.4.0  I used efw-upgrade to complete upgrades. All rebooted and restarted o.k. with no errors and auto re-established VPN.

Note, if connecting via VPN and connection is lost, after reconnecting and continuing to run efw-upgrade may give this error .
"Error Configuration is in read only  mode."   fix is to kill pid of 'efw-upgrade' and also kill -9 pid of 'smart'. Then restart efw-upgrade to complete.

My experience so far it is safe to upgrade to 2.4.1 now.

Upgrading from efw 2.2 still fails with Committing transaction...
Preparing...                                    ################################################################ [  0%]
error: file / home /httpd/html/include/servicesubscriber.js from install of efw-guilib-2.4.3-0.endian5 conflicts with file from package efw-base-2.6.127.2-1.endian9

If any update on fix for upgrading efw 2.2 to 2.4.1 would be appreciated.

Thank you Simon
