Hi there,

currently, we (successfully) use OpenVPN. A few days ago, our firm got a new iPhone which wants to connect to our VPN, too. Unfortunately, the iPhone doesn't support OpenVPN: it "only" supports PPTP/L2TP/IPSec. So I bothered with the configuration of IPSec.

The problem seems to be that the service for IPsec doesn't even start. The iPhone responds with "server not reachable" (or similiar, roughly translated), no matter if I try via 3G or WLAN.

I got some screenshots which I think might be important:

services

vpn settings

(I tried to use the IP address instead of the hostname, but the error remains)

Is it correct to blame the stopped service? If so, how do I start it?

Thanks in advance Smiley

//edit
Just forgot: we run EFW 2.2 which, on the whole, is running fine. I don't want to upgrade unless it's necessary!

Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same problem. The VPN Ipsec service says started, but when I enabled a remote vpn connection, it switches to stopped. Any help is appreciated.
