Proxy Sites - how to block them

With the current version of Web Filtering there is a category called WebProxies & Tunnels.

Currently it blocks about 0.01% of those proxys. (do a quick search of Web Proxy's and Google will return about  5,490,000 results).

So since Endian cannot block Youtube or most anything https then I used a third party like Qustodio Family and Business control software at the desktop level.  This works great as long as the user doesn't use sites like (can't post their url here..) which Endian cannot block and circumvents such control software.

Had a Netgear UTM5 appliance which allowed me to block specific apps (Facebook (https or not), Twiter, Proxys) and individual services within those apps (Facebook -Messaging or able to post new messages), etc...), only reason that I dropped the appliance is it couldn't keep up with my 100 Mbps fiber WAN and was limited on the number of black/white list entries.

Is the paying version of Endian more advanced in that matter or can the Community edition (v3.x) be fine-tuned for it??

i'm using com version 2,5
and only use proxy feature only  so never use of full feature of endian but, i can block any https website.
if you cannot block it by content filtering, try to use "access policy"
create deny access rule and put "dotdomainname" in "destination"

webproxy filter is indeed not have that much database if you compare to google,
but you still can block it manualy
