So, I am playing around with EFW 2.4 community version as a possible system to use in one of our clients production networks. However, and embarrassingly, I can not get any IPSec RoadWarrior to connect using IPSecuritas from a MAC or even using TheGreenBow on a WinOS system. I have followed the instructions both from the EFW side and from TheGreenBow, and it just does not want to work - while I do not have problems connecting to other IPSec and OpenVPN boxes.

The setup is basic and nothing strange has been done. I did remove all the outgoing rules and just added a single anything out is accepted. I thought perhaps my clients ISP was doing something funky on the DSL modem, but its in totally pass-through, firewall disabled, nat disabled and using a static public IP.

I am sure that I am missing something very stupid - since CheckPoint and Cisco had never been this hard to get working for remote users.

Thanks,
Dan

Try this:

Enable VPN firewall
Add new rule to ALLOW ANY source to ANY destination
