Title: PROXY - WARNING Post by: bernieL0max on Wednesday 22 February 2012, 12:33:34 pm In case anyone missed by other thread. ALL Endian Community Edition users should be aware that the default Proxy Access Policy allows your firewall to be used and abused by ANYBODY external to your network!!
Change the Source from ANY to GREEN!, and do not create Access Policies with the source set to ANY! Here is a list of sites that are sharing one of my client's IPs as an anonymous proxy! http://www.vipsocks24.com/2012/01/30-01-12-l3-transparent-proxies-list.html http://www.proxyfire.net/?pageid=socks5proxylist&langid=3 http://elite-proxies.blogspot.com.au/2012/01/30-01-12-l1l2l3-http-proxies-4454.html http://www.warez-home.net/premium-accounts-giveaway/139477-anonymous-scrapebox-proxy-servers-30-01-a.html http://proxy.socks247.biz/2012/01/proxy-servers-3275.html http://premiumaccounts.info/free/anonymous-scrapebox-proxy-servers-30-01-2012 http://www.warezcats.com/premium-accounts-give-aways/37869-anonymous-scrapebox-proxy-servers-30-01-2012-a.html http://kenitra.biz/anonymous-scrapebox-proxy-servers-30-01-2012/ http://www.scrapeboxproxies.net/2012/01/30-01-12-scrapebox-proxy-servers-3950.html http://anonimseti.blogspot.com.au/2012/01/30-01-12-l1l2l3-http-proxies-4454.html http://www.mocua.com/free-proxy-socks-4-socks-5-live-update-daily/1001358-socks-4-socks-5-live-update-daily-30-1-2012-a.html http://www.ruzgarforum.com/23993-post1.html This was killing my client's WAN, utilisation was ~100%, and no-doubt costing them a fortune in usage! Title: Re: PROXY - WARNING Post by: mrkroket on Friday 24 February 2012, 03:15:08 am It would be interesting to know how inbound firewall rules are in your case.
Did you have any incoming rule? Maybe if you have an incoming TCP port 80 incoming rule, you can't access proxy from outside. |
