Hi There
I have started building an Endian firewall to replace a MAC firewall as the MAC only allows for IP addresses for restrictions.

One other major issue at my office is static routes and hosts(previous IT guys setup). All the routes are done locally on each machine as well as certain hosts setup on each machines host file.

When I setup a host on the Endian firewall I tried

IP Address: 147 . 118 . 31 .200
Hostname: www
Domain name: spil . delta . com
(When I use nslookup this shows up correctly for www . spil. delta . com)

IP Address: 147 . 118 . 31 . 200
Hostname: spil
Domain name: delta . com
(When I use nslookup this shows up correctly for spil .delta. com)

The address i need to resolve to is "http : // www . spil. delta . com/ SPIL/ Login. jsp". No matter what settings I try the website never displays
I have routes setup on the endianFW to point to our VPN server that finds 147.118.31.200 and this works when using the local machines host but not when using the EndianFW's hosts.

make sure your hosts are using the Endian firewall for DNS
