I 've set an Endian machine, on VirtualBox for testing purposes.

When I try to apply some settings in the Proxy service, I get a green message then I press the button and there I stand.
I close the browser then I login again I see my changes but is that normal? I think not  Cool

Version I 've installed is the latest downloaded from the official website (if that matters).

Am I missing something?

1. Goto System > SSH access > Enable Secure Shell Access  > flick the switch to Green
2. Next Execute PuTTY.
3. Enter your gateway ip in the Host Name (or IP address) input box. Exp: 192.168.1.1
4. Then press Open.
5. Login using username: root and password: <your console password>
6. At the prompt type the following command: efw-upgrade
7. Follow the on screen instruction
8. After the upgrade process finished.. type: reboot
to reboot your efw box.

Hope this help.

Hello.

I have this version:
Endian Firewall Community release 2.4.1

Is there a newer one?

Thank you.

In fact I can not start the proxy service at all!

FYI this is a test Virtual Machine with a 8GB disk and 1024MB Ram.

I'm just as confused - according to the bug tracker this issue (and others) have been resolved in December, and yet nothing is available in the update repositories??

No: nothing happened on the updates site. This bug is still in place so you need to update manually following this thread: http://bugs.endian.com/view.php?id=2676
