Multiple WAN connections

Hi,
Im a new endian user (well running Endian 2.2 for 4 months) with a 20mb Be connection, now I wish to get a second WAN connection to use purely for the servers and the original connection to be purely for the users, is this possible within Endian? Im aware I will need to install a third NIC but can endian handle this? Im running the software/linux install on an HP server ...
Thanks
Mike

I am a new user also. But based on what I have seen I think you can. You will probably have to configure rules under NETWORK > ROUTING.
I have not tried something like this but I don't see why it is not possible. However, if you have alot of traffic between your clients and the servers then this might be to much a of a load for Endian to handle. But that also probably largely depends on your processor. I don't think endian was designed to be a "router" replacement but rather to have some routing capabilities so one could do DMZ zones, Wireless zones, etc. for security reasons.
I do know that their enterprise (read retail) version support wan failover.

Is the enterprise version the one on the dedicated hardware devices? I was tempted at getting one of these as the HP machine I currently have 2.2 RC3 on is very large ...

Yes, but you can also purchase just the software at a much lower price. If you are looking for additional information call:
Brandon Bain
Director, Business Development
Endian U.S.
O: 832.260.0858 x1 | C: 713.855.6022
He was very pleasant to talk with and a wealth of information on the enterprise version.
Here is what he quoted me;
Price Quote: (No Tax)
Software Appliance:
50 user Basic 1yr: $730 ($1.21 mo/user)
100 user Basic 1 yr: $1,195 ($.99 mo/user)
Hardware Appliance:
Mercury (100 user recommendation) $2,740, maintenance 1 yr standard $605 (delivery fees apply)
Macro (250 user recommendation) $5,130, maintenance 1 yr standard $1,130 (delivery fees apply)
The maintenance give you support options and free updates/upgrades. With the hardware version they fully support the hardware and any issues with it. If it breaks they fix it. With the software version you have to maintain support for the hardware. If you box goes down due to hardware issues, you have to fix.
They are releasing a new enterprise version in a months that has many improvements including a dashboard, live graphs and group based policies. Plus more.

I don't think the forum is dead. But it is pretty lifeless. LOL
Apparenly not alot of followers on the OpenSource version.
