Help with VPN

Hi everybody, I'm new in this kind of things so I'm really trying my best with my limited knowledge of the topic.

I need to create a VPN access for some users who are travelling.

I created users and password in VPN, activated both IPSec and OpenVPN; I created the VPN connection on the computer, inserting the public IP Address of the firewall. But when I'm prompted for the credentials, the connection loads and loads.... until it fails.... I am really out of clues.

I noticed that if I ping the Public IP address of the firewall from an external connection, it says "ping timed out". I don't know if it's part of the problem.
