Title: QoS ANY TOS/DSCP Does Not Work Post by: qwaven on Sunday 29 April 2012, 07:00:33 am Hi all,
Since I upgraded to 2.5.1 I've noticed that my QoS settings don't work as intended. I've attached a screenshot of my rules to help illustrate. Basically when I choose "nothing" for the TOS/DSCP it says below "This rule will match any TOS/DSCP flag". However after hitting apply I will see Endian has changed my settings to "TOS -> Minimize-Delay". I used to be able to setup QoS without having to specify any sort of TOS or DSCP settings. I don't wish to rely on the source of the traffic providing this information. If you look at the attached you will see all my rules say "any" for the TOS/DSCP area, except for the last one which I added just now. It will show incorrectly. Nothing I do seems to change this so I can just apply my rules to any type of traffic. Does anyone know how I can just add simple QoS rules? Or do I need to install 2.4? Your help is appreciated. Thanks! Title: Re: QoS ANY TOS/DSCP Does Not Work Post by: qwaven on Friday 04 May 2012, 01:02:48 am Any thoughts?
Am I doing something wrong? Thanks Title: Re: QoS ANY TOS/DSCP Does Not Work Post by: cyclops on Sunday 06 May 2012, 11:50:36 pm hi all,
I am too facing the same problem, the QOS does not work on the endian firewall. Please help provide me the right steps to configure the same. ENDIAN 2.5.1 (Comunity edition) SET A Users 25 users (192.168.0.5 - 192.168.0.30) internet speed should be 512 kbps SET B Users 5 users (192.168.0.40 -192.168.0.45) internet speed unlimited. I had read some forums people getting error most browsers while creating the rules in QOS except firefox. Also the class total should be 100% ( i am not sure if creating classes with fixed kbps seconds what to do) I am new to endian and firewall setup. (reserverd vs limit in QOS classes) Please help thank you. |
