I just installed 2.4 today and just as I get everything setup on my firewall.  I loose my connection and get a "request time out" on my pings.  One way of getting it back up and running is, rebooting the firewall.  Obviously that cant be done this way.

Another issue is when I have a good ping to the firewall green interface (192.168.2.1) and attempt to access the firewall via web browser(192.168.2.1:10443), the connection drops and I get "requested time out".  I have to revert to rebooting the firewall again.

I am out of Idea's and need some help.

Here is my layout of my network:

Green 192.168.2.1/24
Blue 192.168.3.1/24
Red using DHCP

I have a straight through cable running directly from the green interface NIC to the PC
I have a straight through cable running from the DSL Modem to the red interface.
I am not using the blue network yet.

I have the basic allow traffic out to the internet.

I have attached the wire shark capture at the time the ping failed when I attempted to access via the web interface.

I think you problem is with your cables.  If you are not using a hub/switch, I am pretty sure you need crossover cables.  Please see link below:

(You will have to replace the  with www to get the link to work, as I don't have enough posts to place a clickable link.)

I actually got it working.  I uninstalled 2.4 and installed 2.3 and that did the trick.  Thanks for the advice though.
