Hi,

I'm using endian in a virtual maschine on my root server (XenServer).

It is configured with two interfaces. One external, one internal. Both are shown as 2GBit interfaces in endian.

I have a 100Mbit internet connection. Endin is configured only for nat and openvpn. QoS isnt configured.

The problem is that i only get 5-6MB/s download speed to the internet. With my previos solutin (debian with shorewall) I alway got the maximum speed with 11-12 MB/s.

Do you have any idea why I cant get full speed?

Cheers,
Thomas

May be a virtual NIC related issue. 100Mbit Internet is a big challenge. Do you have any old physical CPU to test with?

With another firewall vm (debian lenny) everything runs fine. So I dont think that this issue is related to the virtual nic.

I cant test any other hardware because the is a hosted dedicated server.

Driver related issue, not virtual NIC itself. That works on debian lenny doesn't mean it will work on EFW out of the box.

You probably need to recompile the virtual NIC drivers for Endian.
