Install of Endian 2.4.2 fails on HP Netserver l1000r

Tried to upgrade to Endian from an IPCOP installation, but the install fails.

It takes 'ages' on 'Install base' - maybe it's having trouble with this old hardware with SCSI 18G drives ?

Then it fails to initialise the network interface.

tried many times .. eventually had to reinstall IpCOp 1.4.20

Just incase anyone else wants to install on a HP  Netserver lL1000r

Sorry don't have any logs .. was in the data centre doing this.

Do you remember seeing problems like this?

ATA1.00 STATUS {DRDY}

and then later:

Buffer I/O error on device sr0, logical block 43910 end_request: I/O

I have the same 1U rack server, running pfSense, wanted to try Vyatta VC6.1 and could not get into the installation menu
