Title: Gateway mode... Need more details...
Post by: snoopyski on Wednesday 14 April 2010, 08:39:51 pm
Hello Everyone,

I install Endian software on a Intel PC to test Endian before we  an appliance.

We have a big government network with a multiple office (VLAN). So the main office distribute the Internet and Interns network to all offices with a lot of Cisco router.

So I need to protect my office from outside (Internet filtering) and from other "'s" inside office's. So we don't want to make "NAT" with Endian because we need to keep network address received by the main office. (all Windows 2003 AD server's need to communicate between and inside the "big" network).

So my question is, can I use Endian to protect my own network ? If yes, in witch mode ? (gateway probably)

Who I must setup this network ? (RED card to the Cisco router with a cross over cable and the GREEN card to the switch)

That's my setup presently but I need to know why I need to assign "green" (two check box) to my two network card's in the configuration of Endian to get network and Internet ? It is safe ?????

Thanks,

Snoopyski
