Title: [SOLVED] VPN with MAC Filter
Post by: danielcsgomes on Wednesday 11 August 2010, 09:15:58 pm
Hello again,

I'm wondering if there is any possibility to allow only connection with specific MAC address? i think put it on incoming routed traffic but it only have by network/ip. For me is important because the other places that gonna access throw VPN have dynamic ip from ISP, and are only 3 machines that are going to connect so i think is more easy to control access via MAC Address.

Thanks in advance,

Daniel Gomes

Did you try to filter VPN traffic in Firewall->VPN Traffic ?
This is the place to filter VPN traffic. The VPB user will connect, but then you can filter out if it isn't an allowed MAC (I think).
Incoming isn't suited for MAC filtering, you can't ensure the internet traffic keep the original MAC Address.

HI, there!!! I am using a vpn connection in linux ubuntu. What do you guys think about security features available in mac or Linux if using vpn to connect to remote server for file server? Is there any server which can increase the speed of internet even if I am using vpn Sweden service to my host computer.. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
