Hi guys,

i've a strange issue in a small/medium environment: after complete installation and the first configuration in a vmware 5 realm i no longer connect to web gui: there is only one nic.

during installation the green ip assigned is 192.168.16.15/24 and 192.168.16.254 as static gateway. After apply this setting loose completly web connection to efw. I can ping from client and from efw shell both client and gateway.

The only working trick for gain web gui is to set gateway with the same ip of green nic, but immediatry after setting correct gateway loose again web interface.

i try to modify gateway whith correct ip from uplink editor but after just put right address-> no way

thanks in advance

Which network configuration setup (mode) are you using ?

Might be helpful...

efw is a virtual machine on a esx5 node, can't be not virtualized. What i don't understandt is why on other 10 similar infrastructures i had no problems. Only thing changed is the subnet (16) on the network of my customer

these days I have a new server with identical hardware to the customer with this problem: I did a test with the subnet of my LAN tests and have had no problems connecting after applying settings. Then I did the same tests using the same subnet as the client 192.168.16.0 254 GW by applying the same ip addresses used by the client and after you apply the configuration, EFW has no answer. I have discarded everything but the only thing that remains is that this particular subnet creates some problems during the configuration of our firewall.

thanks
