Title: Retrieving backup file through console?
Post by: lpossie on Monday 01 December 2008, 07:26:16 am
My endian firewall took a nose dive and reports problems with the hard drive when booting.  I'm able to get to the shell, but I'm not able to access the firewall via the browser.  Is there a way that I can retrieve the backup file that I created on the firewall and retrieve it via the shell?  If so where can I find it?  Thanks.

Hi,

if you under shell type in
backup-create.sh and press enter
now you found some Flags.

by type in backup-create.sh --settings --logs you safe all settings files an log files to a archive stored in

/home/httpd/html/backup/

now you a able to download with WinSCP

greets and hope i could help

In EFW 2.5.2
All backups are stored in
/var/backups/
