Title: Installing on Endian UMT Mini Wifi 10
Post by: T5KFxkMfUa on Wednesday 21 February 2018, 06:29:11 pm
Hi there

I bought the Mini Wifi 10 a year ago and now the support contract expired. As that means I will no longer get updates I was considering to switch over to the community edition.

My questions are:

- does it make sense or is the commercial version so far ahead that I should wait a year or so until the community version steped up?
- how would I install the community edition over the installed one?

Thanks in advance!

Hi!

I think that the Wi-Fi will not work because the community doesn't have the driver and the tab for managing the Wi-Fi and also the installer would not work because the Mini 10 use an mmc for storage instead of a standard HDD/SSD.
Also with the community you will not have the same AV and web filter engine

Cheers,
