Dear community,

I have a very strange problem with my ftp downloads. I have the latest endian community edition and I use red, green and orange networks.
In my orange network I have Centos with ISPConfig and pure-ftp server. I can connect to the ftp server in orange from red and from green to.
When I connect from green I can download any file, but when I connect from RED(from another computer with another ADSL-not over endian) I can download only .txt files, or .ico or .htaccess but I can not download .html nor .png nor .exe nor .zip??? But I can upload them???
I have tested it from different computers with its own internet connection it is always the same.
I really don't know what could cause this behavior??

I appreciate Your help.
Thnx!

Dear community,

today I connected the Linux FTP server from orange zone to separate ADSL connection and forwarded the FTP on the ADSL router and I was able to download all type of files when connecting from internet to the ftp server using dyndns.org
So everything is OK with the FTP server.
The Endian is causing me headache and I really don't know where to start???

Please HELP.

Dear community,

I noticed that in the admin pages of endian a SMTP scan with file extensions present is. I don't use this feature but I think this is the only logical explanation that I'm not allowed to dowload .html or .exe files(these are on that list of blocked extensions) when connecting as ftp client.
Although I dont use it I think that here could be the reason of misbehavior of endian.

Any instructions, where to look (log files or something) or what to investigate???

Hello,

there is no error it just tries to download the file, it gets the file size to be downloaded but because of something the download doesnt start and after a while the file is removed from the queue and declared as failed transfer - because it takes to much time to even start download.
It doesn't even get a byte of the file, the transfer is blocked by endian.
